Music Together® classes allow children to learn basic musical skills the same way they learn everything else: through play! Music is something we can all have fun doing together, regardless of our ability, and our ability grows as we experiment with it. In our classes we sing, chant, move, dance, and play with instruments and props, having fun with developmentally-appropriate activities designed to support the learning styles of young children.
Our song collections feature a mix of original and traditional music, in a variety of rhythms, tonalties, and cultural styles, so there's always something new to try out. Our playful, relaxed, non-performance-oriented atmosphere makes it easy to join in and inspire each other. We'd love to have you join our musical community!
In these classes, caregivers follow along with the teacher, singing and moving and modeling participation for their children. The kids are free to watch and listen, copy the grown-ups, or move and play in their own way. The mixed-age format gives them the opportunity to learn at their own pace, participate at their own level, and learn from each other, just like familes do at home! Your child's classroom experience will grow and change as they do in this environment of joyful music-making.
- For ages 0-5 and their caregivers, with sibling discounts available
- One 45 minute class a week, for 10 weeks in the winter, spring, and fall, or 6 weeks in the summer
